Battalion Chief Robin Zaletta
Battalion Chief Robin Zaletta was appointed to the Sylvania Fire-EMS Department on May 17, 2000. A lifelong resident of the Sylvania community, he has both lived and worked in Sylvania for over 40 years and is a graduate of Sylvania Northview High School. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2015 and to Battalion Chief in 2024. His career has given him the opportunity to spend equal amounts of time at each of our 4 fire stations.
Battalion Chief Zaletta has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Administration, is certified as a Paramedic, Firefighter II, Fire Instructor, Live Fire Instructor, Fire Inspector, Fire Safety Officer, EMS CE Instructor, Emergency Vehicle Driving Instructor, and Ambulance Documentation Specialist. He has also completed several State of Ohio officer development courses and NIMS ICS courses.
Prior to his current role, he served in the roles of Treasurer and Vice-President for Sylvania Firefighter’s IAFF Local 2243.
Battalion Chief Zaletta is assigned to “C” platoon operating out of Station 62.
